In 1998, Eric took a decisive step in his career by founding his own company, dedicated to interpreting, translation, and language technology. What began as an entrepreneurial venture soon developed into a long-standing commitment to bridging communication across cultures and industries. His work quickly gained recognition, both for its quality and for its forward-looking use of technology in the language sector.
By 2014, his expertise was acknowledged internationally when he became a member of the International Advisory Committee for Applied Language Technology, where he contributed to shaping global perspectives on innovation in the field. Building on this momentum, he established the Language Technology Centre in Temse, Belgium, in 2015, a hub designed to foster new ideas and practical applications for language services in an increasingly digital world.
In 2016, he published Voices from Above, a book that reflects on the transformation from onsite to online meetings, a shift that would soon prove crucial for professionals worldwide. That same year, he also joined the Professional Speakers Association Belgium as an Educational Platform Speaker, sharing his knowledge and insights with a wide audience of professionals. Since 2019, he's also member of VSAI (Virtual Speakers Association International).
A defining highlight came in 2020, when his company ranked among the global Top 15 providers of conference interpreting, a distinction that underscored more than two decades of excellence.
In that same year, 2020, the company reached another milestone by becoming an accredited provider of online simultaneous interpreting services for the United Nations, further confirming its role as a trusted partner on the international stage.
